Artists: Petra Brnardic, Werther Germondari, Marcia Beatriz Granero, Shahar Marcus, Morgan Menegazzo, Mariachiara Pernisa, Ambra Scali, Takayuki Yoshida.
A year ago, in correspondence with the celebrations for the deceased, the OGA dedicated the ‘In Memoriam’ exhibition to this theme. This year, since it is also a period dedicated to all the saints, we expand by adding supposed miracles and closing the circle, returning to life, with the infinite problems that compete for it, so as to further confuse the waters of the reflective whirlpool.
Un anno fa, in corrispondenza con le celebrazioni per i defunti, l’OGA dedicava a tale tematica la mostra ‘In Memoriam’. Quest’anno, dato che è anche periodo dedicato a tutti i santi, ci si allarga aggiungendo presunti miracoli e chiudendo il cerchio, ritornando alla vita, con le infinite problematiche che le competono, in modo da confondere ulteriormente le acque del gorgo riflessivo.

Petra Brnardic (Zagreb, Croatia, 1978) Graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2004, she is working on short experimental movies for several years, and she usually use collage technique and surreal, vivid, psychedelic imagery inspired by silent movie era, underground and cult movies mostly from the 60s-early 80s, horror and camp aesthetics and other forms of arts. “My cinema is visual poetry, often brutal, macabric, hallucinant and full of polarities, like sex and death or good versus evil, just like the deepest caves of human psyche and ocean of subconsciousness”.
Werther Germondari (Rimini, Italy, 1963) Visual artist, performer and filmmaker. Interested in innovative experimental dynamics that are neo-conceptual and situational, characterized by a taste for the ironic and surreal, Germondari has experimented for 35 years through many different expressive media (from painting to installations, photography to film, videos to live performance). Germondari's works have also been shown in solo exhibitions where he focuses on hidden elements highlighted in styles. In 2013 he founded the Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Marcia Beatriz Granero (São Paulo, Brasil, 1982) is a videoartist Graduated at Belas Artes de São Paulo [BR] who lives and works in São Paulo [BR] . In her videowork ‘Lacuna’ Jaque Jolene investigates a cultural space where was a pharmaceutical industry, taking with her medicinal plant juices and germinated seeds. In the other videowork ‘Tabaroa’, Raised in the backland, the protagonist Jaque Jolene decides to flee from the metropolis to presentify her origins.
Shahar Marcus (Petah Tiqua, Israel, 1971) is an Israeli based artist who primary works in the medium of performance and video art. His initial works dealt with the exploration of his own body and its limitations- incorporating various perishable materials, such as dough, juice and ice. His body served as an instrument, a platform on which various ‘experiments’ took place: lying on the operating table, set on fire, dressed in a ‘bread suit’ and more. His most recent works deal with local political issues, by approaching iconic Israeli landmarks with a critical and humorous point of view.
Morgan Menegazzo (Lendinara, Italy, 1976). After his studies in cinematography at the University of Bologna, where he attended the DAMS (Discipline of Arts, Music and Show business) course, he graduated from the NUCT (New University of Cinema and Television) in Cinecittà. Director, author and editor, since 2001 he has been involved in the making of movies, documentaries and video installations. In 2001, with Mariachiara Pernisa, create Hankgefmobility, an independent multidisciplinary project including videos, films and documentaries, was born from their meeting.
Mariachiara Pernisa (Lugo, Italy, 1981). Her work revolves around pictures. She graduated at the Accademia di Belle Arti (Academy of Fine Arts) in Bologna and earned a master's degree in film editing and photography at the Accademia di Cinema e Televisione Griffith (Academy of Cinema and Television) in Rome. Author and movie editor, since 2001 she has been making movies, documentaries and video installations. She collaborate with Morgan Menezazzo and their works were released in movie theaters,and were also broadcast by national broadcasting companies and satellite networks.
Ambra Scali (Bordighera, Italy, 1994) After obtaining the diploma of "Art Teacher and Decorator" at the high school, of the State Institute of Art in Imperia (2012-2013), she continued her studies in "Painting" at the Academy of Fine Arts of Sanremo obtaining the Degree (2014-2017) and obtained the certificates at the courses of "Ceramics" and "2De3D" at l'école supérieure Pavillon Bosio of Montecarlo (2016-2017). Entered the Accademia Albertina in Turin specialized in stage design (2017) recently participated in the exhibition "My Self" to the Wunderkammer Ephemeral Gallery in Milan.
Takayuki Yoshida (Hokkaido, Japan, 1972). “It is said that the sculptors, especially who use the stone as their materials, make their works by imagining even the future of a thousand years later. This is because the stone will continue to remain as the material even though the time of a thousand years passes. Nowadays, the film is digital, not material, but what I have learned from the sculptor is that we must make the film by imagining even the future of a thousand years later. It is to enwomb our spirits in the film, as the sculptors try to enwomb their spirits in the material, by the method of praying”.

Petra Brnardic (Zagabria, Croazia, 1978) Laureata all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Zagabria nel 2004, sta lavorando a brevi film sperimentali da diversi anni e di solito usa la tecnica del collage e immagini surreali, vivide e psichedeliche ispirate all'era del cinema muto, film underground e cult per lo più dagli anni '60-primi anni '80, estetica horror e camp e altre forme d'arte. "Il mio cinema è poesia visiva, spesso brutale, macabra, allucinante e piena di polarità, come il sesso e la morte o il bene contro il male, proprio come le grotte più profonde della psiche umana e l'oceano del subconscio".
Werther Germondari (Rimini, 1963) Artista visivo, performer e filmmaker. Attento a dinamiche innovative sperimentali neo-concettuali che si caratterizzano per un gusto ironico e surreale, svolge dai primi anni ottanta una ricerca attraverso numerosi media espressivi. Ha partecipato a esposizioni in gallerie private e spazi sperimentali internazionali, alternando installazioni d’ambiente, videowork e atti performativi, focalizzando l’attenzione su elementi nascosti, attinenti a una visione reale, sociale e politica. Nel 2013 ha ideato l’Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Marcia Beatriz Granero (San Paolo, Brasile, 1982) è una videoartista laureata alla Belas Artes de São Paulo in Brasile, città in cui vive e lavora. Nel suo videowork "Lacuna" Jaque Jolene indaga su uno spazio culturale in cui era un'industria farmaceutica, portando con sé succhi di piante medicinali e semi germinati. Nell'altro video, "Tabaroa", la protagonista Jaque Jolene, cresciuta nell’entroterra, decide di fuggire dalla metropoli per tornare alle sue origini.
Shahar Marcus (Petah Tiqua, Israele, 1971) è un artista israeliano che lavora principalmente nel campo della performance e della videoarte. Le sue opere iniziali riguardavano l'esplorazione del proprio corpo e i suoi limiti, incorporando vari materiali deperibili, come pasta, succo e ghiaccio. Il suo corpo serviva da strumento, una piattaforma su cui si svolgevano vari "esperimenti". Le sue opere più recenti affrontano le questioni politiche locali, avvicinandosi ai punti di riferimento iconici israeliani con un punto di vista critico e divertente.
Morgan Menegazzo (Lendinara, 1976). Regista, autore e coordinatore editoriale. La sua indagine si focalizza principalmente sul rapporto tra medium e linguaggio e sul ruolo della luce nella definizione della realtà visiva. Dopo gli studi in Cinematografia compiuti al D.A.M.S. di Bologna, consegue il diploma in regia presso la Nuova Università del Cinema e Televisione (NUCT) in Cinecittà. Dal 2001 collabora con Mariachiara Pernisa ed insieme creano Hankgefmobility, un progetto multidisciplinare indipendente che comprende opere video, film e documentari.
Mariachiara Pernisa (Lugo, 1981). Autrice e montatrice. Si occupa di immagini, al confine tra fotografia, cinema e videoarte. La sua ricerca indaga la capacità illusoria, propria dei media audiovisivi, di trattenere l'inarrestabile, facendosi forma. Dopo la laurea presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, consegue il diploma specialistico in montaggio e fotografia presso l’Accademia di Cinema e Televisione Griffith di Roma. Le opere realizzate insieme a Morgan Megegazzo sono state distribuite in sala e trasmesse da emittenti televisive e network satellitari.
Ambra Scali (Bordighera, 1994) Conseguito il diploma di ”Maestra d’arte e Decoratrice” alla scuola media superiore, dell’istituto Statale d’Arte d’Imperia (2012-2013) ha protratto gli studi in ”Pittura” all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Sanremo conseguendo la Laurea (2014-2017) ed ottenuto gli attestati ai corsi di ”Ceramica” e ”2De3D” a l’école supérieure Pavillon Bosio di Montecarlo (2016-2017). Iscritta all’Accademia Albertina di Torino per la specialistica in scenografia teatrale (2017) ha partecipato di recente alla mostra “My Self” alla galleria Wunderkammern Effimere di Milano (2019).
Takayuki Yoshida (Hokkaido, Giappone, 1972). “Si dice che gli scultori, specialmente quelli che usano la pietra come materiale, realizzano le loro opere immaginando anche il futuro di mille anni dopo. Questo perché la pietra continuerà a rimanere come materiale anche se passano mille anni. Al giorno d'oggi, il film è digitale, non materiale, ma quello che ho imparato dallo scultore è che dobbiamo fare il film immaginando anche il futuro tra mille anni. Serve ad ammaliare i nostri spiriti nel film, mentre gli scultori cercano di inghiottire i loro spiriti nel materiale, con il metodo della preghiera”.
