Artists: Petra Brnardic, Olga Cabaret, Greta Isabella Conte, Michael Epps, Werther Germondari, Neil Needleman, Claudio Parentela, Chelsea Poe and Courtney Trouble.
The first event of the (S)exhibitions 2019/2020 season wants to give space to some works of the undoubtedly most transgressive part of the OGA Collection, in which decidedly explicit sexuality goes very provocatively with eroticism, to create explosive and perturbing mixtures. We find queer, feminist, political, playful, ironic, aesthetically and conceptually interesting works, in which precisely the preponderance of what common thought defines as pornography is certainly not lacking. Obviously then the entrance will be allowed only to adults and aware of what they could see.
La prima mostra della stagione (S)exhibitions 2019/2020 vuole dare spazio ad alcune opere della parte indubbiamente più trasgressiva della Collezione OGA, in cui la sessualità decisamente esplicita si affianca molto provocatoriamente all’erotismo, per creare miscele esplosive conturbanti. Troviamo opere queer, femministe, politiche, ludiche ed ironiche, esteticamente e concettualmente interessanti, in cui appunto la preponderanza di quello che il pensiero comune definisce pornografia non manca di certo. Ovviamente quindi l’ingresso sarà permesso solo a persone maggiorenni e consapevoli di ciò che potrebbero vedere.
Petra Brnardic (Zagreb, Croatia, 1978) Graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2004, she is working on short experimental movies for several years, and she usually use collage technique and surreal, vivid, psychedelic imagery inspired by silent movie era, underground and cult movies mostly from the 60s-early 80s, horror and camp aesthetics and other forms of arts. “My cinema is visual poetry, often brutal, macabric, hallucinant and full of polarities, like sex and death or good versus evil, just like the deepest caves of human psyche and ocean of subconsciousness”.
Olga Cabaret (Moskow, Russia, 1987) create paintings with a variety of extraordinary things that you would never expect to see on canvas. She enjoy experimenting with textures and materials and she keep coming up with new bright ideas, either it’s a sculpture on canvas or a transparent double-sided piece of art. Practicing such techniques as glitter and shimmer in combination with her own author’s techniques makes every work completely extraordinary, unique and like no other. She went at art school in Moskow and then she went for an internship to Italy.
Greta Isabella Conte (Cologne, Germany, 1990) is a young cinematographer, photographer and film director. With 23 years, she moved to Hamburg where she worked as a camera assistant and where her career as a camerawoman started. Since 2016 she lives in Berlin where she studies cinematography at the renown Filmuniversity Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. He works in the film industry (in 2017 he made an erotic short film produced by Erika Lust as a director), and at the same time continues his research in nude photography.
Michael Epps (New York, USA, 1969) is an editorial and portrait photographer from the USA currently based in New York City. He has a degree in film, from the “City University of New York”. Michael Epps studied photography at the school of life. “I don’t like to over conceptualize a shoot, and technical details are usually secondary. Just give me light, and the right muse to make magic. As an artist, being true to yourself is the most radical thing you can ever do” (M.E.).
Werther Germondari (Rimini, Italy, 1963) Visual artist, performer and filmmaker. Interested in innovative experimental dynamics that are neo-conceptual and situational, characterized by a taste for the ironic and surreal, Germondari has experimented for 35 years through many different expressive media (from painting to installations, photography to film, videos to live performance). Germondari's works have also been shown in solo exhibitions where he focuses on hidden elements highlighted in styles. In 2013 he founded the Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Neil Needleman (New York, USA, 1957). “I was born in Brooklyn, New York toward the middle of the last century, and I've held a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. Over the decades, the cameras may have changed, but my passion for tinkering with moving images hasn't. And I intend to keep doing it” (N.N.). Her videos are regularly screened in film festivals around the world. More recently, he has extended his creative vision to include other visual arts, including pattern making, sculpture, and installations.
Claudio Parentela (Catanzaro, Italy, 1962) Illustrator, painter, photographer, mail artist, cartoonist, collagist, journalist free lance... Active since many years in the international underground scene. He has collaborated and collaborates with many zines, magazines of contemporary art, literary and of comics in Italy and in the world, on the paper and on the web... some name amongst the many: NYArtsMagazine,Turntable & Blue Light Magazine, Komix, LitChaos...
Chelsea Poe (Toledo, Ohio, USA, 1993) is an outspoken activist at the forefront of the transgender equality movement, and has launched several social awareness campaigns focusing on discrimination and transgender misogyny. Poe began her career in the adult industry at the age of 20 moving to the Bay Area to begin making queer porn. Four months after her decision to begin making films, Her big breakthrough came with the release of TROUBLE Films’ Fucking Mystic, on which she served not only as a performer, but also as writer, co-director and producer.
Courtney Trouble (Tacoma, WA, USA, 1982) is a multidisciplinary artist and performer primarily focused on depictions of queer, lesbian, and homosexuality from a “nearby” or intimate point of view. Her work often manifests professionally as porn and she sell it commercially and run a production collective called TROUBLEfilms. She also got an MFA in Studio Arts and have a concurrent fine arts practice that incorporates sexual subjects and content informed by pop culture, but also sort of brings in a lot of things that surround sex, like not just bodies and emotions but systems of seeing and feeling.

Petra Brnardic (Zagabria, Croazia, 1978) Laureata all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Zagabria nel 2004, sta lavorando a brevi film sperimentali da diversi anni e di solito usa la tecnica del collage e immagini surreali, vivide e psichedeliche ispirate all'era del cinema muto, film underground e cult per lo più dagli anni '60-primi anni '80, estetica horror e camp e altre forme d'arte. "Il mio cinema è poesia visiva, spesso brutale, macabra, allucinante e piena di polarità, come il sesso e la morte o il bene contro il male, proprio come le grotte più profonde della psiche umana e l'oceano del subconscio".
Olga Cabaret (Mosca, Russia, 1987) crea dipinti con una varietà di soggetti particolari che non ti aspetteresti mai di vedere su tela. Le piace sperimentare trame e materiali e continua a trovare nuove idee brillanti, sia che si tratti di una scultura o di un'opera d'arte a doppia faccia trasparente. Pratica tecniche in cui il luccichio, in combinazione con le sue tecniche originali, rende ogni lavoro assolutamente originale, unico e come nessun altro. Ha frequentato una scuola d'arte a Mosca e poi ha fatto uno stage in Italia.
Greta Isabella Conte (Colonia, Germania, 1990) è una giovane fotografa, direttrice della fotografia e regista. A 23 anni si è trasferita ad Amburgo dove ha lavorato come assistente alla macchina da presa e ha iniziato la sua carriera da cameraman. Dal 2016 vive a Berlino dove studia cinematografia presso la rinomata Filmuniversity Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Lavora nel settore cinematografico (nel 2017 ha realizzato da regista un cortometraggio erotico prodotto da Erika Lust), e contemporaneamente prosegue la sua ricerca nella fotografia di nudo.
Michael Epps (New York, USA, 1969) è un fotografo editoriale e ritrattista statunitense che attualmente risiede a New York City. Ha una laurea in cinema, presso la "City University of New York", mentre ha studiato fotografia alla ‘scuola della vita’. "Non mi piace concettualizzare eccessivamente le riprese e i dettagli tecnici sono in genere secondari. Dammi solo luce e la musa giusta per fare magie. Come artista, essere fedele a te stesso è la cosa più radicale che tu possa mai fare” (M.Epps).
Werther Germondari (Rimini, 1963) Artista visivo, performer e filmmaker. Attento a dinamiche innovative sperimentali neo-concettuali che si caratterizzano per un gusto ironico e surreale, svolge dai primi anni ottanta una ricerca attraverso numerosi media espressivi. Ha partecipato a esposizioni in gallerie private e spazi sperimentali internazionali, alternando installazioni d’ambiente, videowork e atti performativi, focalizzando l’attenzione su elementi nascosti, attinenti a una visione reale, sociale e politica. Nel 2013 ha ideato l’Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Neil Needleman (New York, USA, 1957). "Sono nato a Brooklyn, New York verso la metà del secolo scorso, e ho tenuto una macchina fotografica in mano per tutto il tempo che posso ricordare. Nel corso dei decenni, le telecamere potrebbero essere cambiate, ma la mia passione per armeggiare con le immagini in movimento non è così. E intendo continuare a farlo" (N.N.). I suoi video vengono regolarmente proiettati in festival cinematografici di tutto il mondo. Più recentemente, ha esteso la sua visione creativa ad altre arti visive, tra cui la scultura e l’installazione.
Claudio Parentela (Catanzaro, 1962) è illustratore, pittore, fotografo, mail artista, collagista, cartoonist, giornalista free lance… attivo da molti anni nella scena underground internazionale, ha collaborato e collabora con tantissimi magazines e zines: di arte contemporanea, letterarie e di comics in Italia e nel mondo, sulla carta e sul web. Chelsea Poe (Toledo, Ohio, USA, 1993) è impegnata in prima linea nel movimento per la parità transgender e ha lanciato diverse campagne di sensibilizzazione sociale incentrate sulla discriminazione transgender. Ha iniziato la sua carriera nell'industria pornografica quando ha iniziato a fotografare, all'età di 20 anni, seguita poco tempo dopo dalla sua decisione di iniziare a fare film. Con il successo di ‘Trans Girls’ decide di diventare performer porno a tempo pieno, spostandosi in modo permanente ad Oakland, in cui lavora anche come sceneggiatrice, regista e produttrice.
Courtney Trouble (Tacoma, Washington, USA, 1982) è un’artista multidisciplinare e performer, il cui lavoro è incentrato principalmente sulla rappresentazione del mondo queer, lesbico e omosessuale da un punto di vista molto intimo, che sfocia professionalmente nel mondo pornografico. I suoi studi d’arte in Accademia (MFA in Studio Art) le permettono di unire le belle arti agli argomenti sessuali e ai contenuti della cultura pop. È molto influenzata dal femminismo marxista post-riot, dalla teoria post-strutturalista e femminista francese, e dalla poesia e collage dada.
