Wavy, agitated, abstract and real trajectories (sometimes even ironically transgenic), are what unites the works of seven international artists, with works as always coming from the Collection of the Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Traiettorie ondeggianti, agitate, astratte e reali (e talvolta pure ironicamente transgeniche) sono ciò che accomuna le opere di sette artisti internazionali, tutte come sempre provenienti dalla Collezione dell’Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Jenny E. Balisle (Stevens Point, USA, 1974) art practice investigates diverse, interdependent, and symbiotic relationships within natural and manmade environments. “Fascinated by alternative realities, disorientation, and flight, I amalgamate disparate experiences to create new narratives, perspectives, and theories. The goal is to identify how patterns and symbols of influence impact perception, social behavior, institutions, history, and truth”. ‘Optic2’, The work in the exhibition visualizes how information traverses through fiber-optic cables on the ocean’s floors.
Nicholas Bertini (Verona, Italy, 1987) Since 2008 he is involved in graphic design studios and works for communication agency. During these years he approach the animation passing by motion design and traditional techniques. Currently he is working as a freelancer for animation agency, in parallel of development of experimental short films. His work is based on a constant research in non-conventional visuals and experimenting creative process. His first short Amelia (2015) give the mood of the future films; minimal b&w shots obtained with different styles and media following a narrative plot.
Davidd d'Addario (Pescara, 1991) inscribes his multidisciplinary research in the null circumference of an epiphany void, underlining how this generates infinite and paradoxical errors, breakups and dissections. Through surgical and microscopic practices, it deconstructs reality as it is known to create new perspectives of perception. For this reason, especially in his practice as a glitch artist, the process is very important, which pushes him to think generatively and open to chance.
Werther Germondari (Rimini, Italy, 1963) Visual artist, performer and filmmaker. Interested in innovative experimental dynamics that are neo-conceptual and situational, characterized by a taste for the ironic and surreal, Germondari has experimented for 35 years through many different expressive media (from painting to installations, photography to film, videos to live performance). Germondari's works have also been shown in solo exhibitions where he focuses on hidden elements highlighted in styles. In 2013 he founded the Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Lane Last (Freeport, USA, 1974) is an artist based in Martin, Tennessee. He is a Professor of Art at the University of Tennessee - Martin in the Department of Visual and Theatre Arts. Lane holds an MFA and a BS - Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with primary concentrations in Painting, Digital Art, Video, and New Media, though he has worked in Film Production, Performance Art, Installation / Non-Static Forms, and Printmaking. Lane has been exhibiting his videos, animations and media works in international venues and competitions for the past 18 years.
Matthew Pell (Leicester, GB, 1968) Since 2000 Pell has been creating videos exploring human identity within urban morphology. His work is concerned with the relationship between natural & manufactured forms, the fundamental elements of man-made objects that emanate light and physical movement. Much of Pell's practice employs looped, reversed, speeded or slowed footage, abstracted compositions, combined with multiple frames and soundscapes to stimulate a visceral response from the viewer.
Hiroya Sakurai (Yokohama, Japan, 1958) has graduated from University of Tsukuba [M.F.A.] in 1985. He has taught at Seian University of Art and Design since 2012 as a professor. Exhibitions include The 4th Sydney Biennale (1982), Postwar Art in Japan, The Getty Center, Los Angeles (2007), 62nd Melbourne International Film Festival (2013), 58th San Francisco International Film Festival, 13th International Festival Signes de Nuit, Paris (all 2015). Sakurai’s work can be found in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada and J.Paul Getty Trust.

Jenny E. Balisle (Stevens Point, USA, 1974) indaga diverse relazioni, interdipendenti e simbiotiche all'interno di ambienti naturali in cui sono presenti interventi umani. Affascinata da realtà alternative, disorientamento e fuga, collega esperienze diverse per creare nuove narrazioni, prospettive e teorie. L'obiettivo è identificare come i modelli e i simboli di modificatori influiscono sulla percezione, sul comportamento sociale, sulle istituzioni, sulla storia e sulla verità. 'Optic2', Il lavoro in mostra, prende spunto da come le informazioni attraversano i cavi a fibre ottiche sui fondali dell'oceano.
Nicholas Bertini (Verona, 1987) Fin dal 2008 lavora in studi di graphic design e collabora con agenzie di comunicazione. Durante questi anni si avvicina all’animazione passando dalla motion graphics a tecniche tradizionali. Attualmente lavora in modo indipendente collaborando con produzioni video. In parallelo porta avanti la ricerca e lo sviluppo di corti animati sperimentali, attraverso una costante ricerca visiva, sperimentando e intersecando diversi processi d’animazione e prediligendo un approccio visivo minimale ottenuto con metodi di produzione interdisciplinari.
Davidd d’Addario (Pescara, 1991) inscrive la propria ricerca multidisciplinare nella circonferenza nulla di un vuoto epifanico, sottolineando come questo generi errori infiniti e paradossali, disfacimenti e sezionamenti. Tramite pratiche chirurgiche e microscopiche decostruisce la realtà come la si conosce per creare nuove prospettive della percezione. Per questo, soprattutto nella sua pratica di glitch-artist, è molto importante il processo, che lo spinge a pensare in modo generativo ed aperto alla casualità.
Lane Last (Freeport, USA, 1974) è artista e professore di arte all'Università del Tennessee - Martin, nel Dipartimento di arti visive e teatrali. Lane ha conseguito un master e una laurea in lettere presso l'Università del Wisconsin - Madison, specificamente in pittura, arte digitale, video e nuovi media, ed ha lavorato con la cinematografia, la performance art, e l’installazione. Lane ha negli ultimi 18 anni ha partecipato a molte mostre internazionali e le sue opere possono essere trovate in collezioni pubbliche e private negli Stati Uniti, Corea, Italia e Giappone.
Werther Germondari (Rimini, 1963) Artista visivo, performer e filmmaker. Attento a dinamiche innovative sperimentali neo-concettuali che si caratterizzano per un gusto ironico e surreale, svolge dai primi anni ottanta una ricerca attraverso numerosi media espressivi. Ha partecipato a esposizioni in gallerie private e spazi sperimentali internazionali, alternando installazioni d’ambiente, videowork e atti performativi, focalizzando l’attenzione su elementi nascosti, attinenti a una visione reale, sociale e politica. Nel 2013 ha ideato l’Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Matthew Pell (Leicester, GB, 1968) Dal 2000 Pell crea video che esplorano l'identità umana all'interno della morfologia urbana. Il suo lavoro si occupa del rapporto tra le forme naturali e manifatturiere, gli elementi fondamentali degli oggetti creati dall'uomo che emanano luce e movimento fisico. Gran parte dell lavoro di Pell utilizza filmati metronomici, invertiti, veloci o rallentati, composizioni astratte, combinati con cornici multiple e paesaggi sonori per stimolare una risposta viscerale da parte dello spettatore.
